My sister and I run Accelerated Achiever Academy, an online virtual school, and we are looking to add an upper-elementary teacher… to our team. This is an ideal side job for teachers who want to continue teaching without the stress and constraints of a traditional classroom.
About the Role:
• Position: Middle School Math Teacher (with 6th-8th grade background)
• Location: Fully remote
• Schedule: 2 days a week over Zoom, 45-minute classes, between 4:30 – 6:30 pm (you choose the hours in that window that work for you)
• Compensation: $75 per class (8 classes/month), with unlimited potential to earn more as class sizes increase.
• Start Date: September 2
• Commitment: Approximately 3-4 hours per week, including teaching time; you must create the lessons that are taught with Powerpoint. If you’re a public school teacher, you can use the lesson plans from your middle school classroom and save planning time.
Our Ideal Candidate:
• Experienced math teacher (or math major) with a strong knowledge of the 6th-8th grade US public school curriculum
• Proficient with PowerPoint for creating engaging lessons (Experience with Canva, Seesaw, GoogleSlides, Gimkit is a plus!)
• Knowledge of assessments and standardized testing is a plus but not necessary
• Quick learner and adaptable to virtual teaching (experience in virtual teaching is not required)
• Passionate about teaching, with a growth mindset and ability to connect with students through the screen
