The adjunct faculty member in this position will teach criminal justice courses.

We are seeking adjuncts committed to student success to guide our students as they explore the tensions and challenges in the criminal justice system from a social justice perspective.

Teaching assignments will be based at McHenry County Community College in Crystal Lake.

Skills and Abilities

Required
• An earned Master’s Degree is required.
• An earned Law Degree is required for those teaching legal classes.
• At least 2 years of previous teaching experience with strong student evaluations.
• All candidates should be committed to social justice and have a high-energy personality

Basic office/ classroom equipment (desktop computer, laptop, overhead projector, office copier).

Working Conditions

Normal climate-controlled office environment is provided. Job is largely sedentary, but there is a need to move about the office and buildings frequently. Occasional bending, stooping, lifting, pushing and/or pulling is required (typically less than 10 pounds). May be exposed to loud noise from instrument and voice practice rooms on-site.
