We are currently looking for certified school principals to observe candidates in a hybrid model, monitor their performance, and provide constructive feedback to improve their effectiveness as educators. These candidates are placed in schools in different locations. Responsibilities – The university supervisor acts as a liaison between the participating district and TAMUK College of Education and Human Performance Educator Preparation Program (EPP). The main function of the field supervisor is to provide guidance and support to teacher candidates and school district cooperating teachers. – Observe, assess and evaluate clinical/teacher candidates a minimum of five times; three formal observations and two walk-throughs. Field supervisors are responsible for providing high-quality feedback to students that result in actionable improvement of practice. – Complete and collect all required documentation. Submit virtual and face-to-face observation reports on the candidates to the EPP Coordinator for processing and staying in compliance with Texas Education Agency (TEA). Required Education/Qualifications/Certifications – A master’s degree in school administration, instructional leadership or any other related educational field. – Must be T-TESS certified and hold a current and valid certification. – Candidate must have at least three years of experience as a campus-level administrator and hold a valid and current principal certificate. – A field supervisor shall not be employed by the same school where the candidate being supervised is completing his or her clinical teaching, internship, or practicum.
