The education programs at Joint Base Lewis McChord are specifically designed to serve the needs of active-duty military personnel, their family members, VA benefit recipients, and civilians in the community.
Accelerated terms, arranged courses, hybrid and online courses with two entry points per term meet specific needs of our non-traditional students.
Applications are now being accepted to create a pool of qualified applicants for anticipated part-time teaching positions at Joint Base Lewis McChord at the Stone and McChord Education Centers.
We are currently seeking the following specializations :
Natural and Physical Sciences –
• Anthropology
• Biology
• Chemistry
Math –
• Calculus
• Math for Elementary Teachers I and II
Business & Social Sciences –
Anthropology (ANTH 106- Cultural Anthropology)
Humanities –
Arabic
Face to face rate of pay is $364.18 per student for a 5 credit lecture class, with a maximum of $5,462.75 for 15 or more students.
Online rate of pay is $273.10 per student for a 5 credit lecture class.
Essential Functions
• Teach course(s) as assigned.
• Conduct assigned classes in a manner that promotes student success and incorporates various teaching styles and technology.
• Be available to students before and after class, and
• Work effectively with colleagues and students of various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
Qualifications
Required :
• Master’s degree from an accredited institution in the specialized discipline.
• Master’s degree from an accredited institution within any discipline that includes 15 semester credits in the specific discipline that you are teaching in.
Other qualifications may be considered.

your use of outcomes assessment measures; your use of active learning techniques; and your use of presentation and alternative modes of delivery in the classroom, or, via web-based learning (Teaching Philosophy) .
Provide a brief response to the following questions (Supplemental Questions) : What personal and professional work have you done in order to broaden your understanding of racial equity and how the intersections of multiple social and cultural identities impact your work and relationships with others?
