Summary:

The Department of Biology at Niagara University seeks part-time instructor(s) to teach BIO233L Anatomy and Physiology I Lab sections in the Fall of 2024.

Essential duties:

Use the provided course syllabus to fulfill course objectives. Maintain class records and attendance. Responsible for course instruction in the laboratory. Lab materials will be provided but may be amended, with the assistance of the lead faculty, to engage active learning. Exams and lab assignments will be coordinated with the other lead faculty of the course to maintain continuity. Grade assignments and tests then return them to students in a timely fashion.

Required knowledge, skills and abilities:

Thorough knowledge of subject matter. Ability to plan and present instructional material in a clear, logical and concise manner. Ability to use sound professional judgement and maintain proper teacher-student relationships.

Qualification Standards:

A Master’s degree in biology or closely related discipline. Experience teaching at the college level is preferred. Candidates should provide a cover letter, curriculum vita, a 1 page statement of teaching philosophy, and three references.
