Position Overview
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic English Professor for the Fall 2024 Semester. As an Adjunct Professor, you will play a vital role in delivering compelling instruction remotely, utilizing synchronous technology to engage students. While rooted in Islamic teachings, our academic programs aim to provide a comprehensive educational experience.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver course materials with clear learning outcomes, assignments, and assessments.
Conduct classes via remote synchronous technology, including evening and weekend sessions.
Maintain accurate student records in compliance with FERPA regulations, utilizing the campus Learning Management System (LMS).
Foster student interaction and mentorship through scheduled office hours and online chat functions.
Adhere to course timelines, including grading deadlines and student evaluations.
Professional Qualifications
Minimum of a Master’s degree in English or a related field; Ph.D. preferred.
Prior experience in remote learning environments is highly desirable.
Proficiency in using internet resources, personal computers, and telecommunication tools.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and enhancement of instructional techniques.
Religious Qualifications
Demonstrated dedication to the Islamic faith, aligned with the (Ahlu Al-Sunnah) denomination.
Uphold personal integrity and moral values in both private and public spheres.
Active involvement in a local masjid community.
Additional Requirements
Submission of unofficial transcripts with the application; official transcripts required upon hire.
Successful completion of a background check as part of the hiring process.
Adherence to all outlined hiring procedures and requirements.
Schedule And Compensation
Part-time position with flexible hours.
Hourly pay ranging from $24.37 to $29.35.
Evening and weekend availability required.
