To support this momentum, we seek a strategic and resourceful Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead recruitment initiatives that drive innovation and scalability.
In this managerial role, you will develop strategies to attract and retain top talent aligned with our mission, foster a high-performing and inclusive recruitment team, and ensure hiring practices evolve to meet the demands of our growth stage. This position requires a visionary leader with strong problem-solving, data-driven decision-making, and a commitment to building Learning Genie’s future workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Growth-Focused Recruitment Strategy:
• Develop Strategic Hiring Plans: Design scalable recruitment strategies aligned with Learning Genie’s growth objectives, forecasting needs for rapid expansion.
• Build Agile Talent Pipelines: Focus on proactive talent pipeline development for leadership and mission-critical roles to support scaling initiatives.
• Optimize for High-Impact Roles: Adapt hiring practices to prioritize positions that contribute to revenue growth and operational efficiency.
2. Leadership and Team Building:
• Lead and Develop a High-Impact Team: Mentor and guide the recruitment team to navigate the challenges of a scaling organization while meeting KPIs.
• Foster Collaboration: Build a team culture that thrives on innovation, continuous learning, and adaptability to the fast-changing needs of a growth-stage company.
• Cultivate Leadership Potential: Identify and nurture high-performing team members to grow into leadership roles as the company scales.
• Leverage Team Strengths: Analyze and capitalize on the strengths of current HR team members to align recruitment strategies with organizational growth objectives.
3. Data-Driven Recruitment Excellence:
• Use Analytics for Precision Hiring: Leverage recruitment metrics like time-to-fill, quality-of-hire, and cost-per-hire to improve efficiency and decision-making.
• Drive Results with Insights: Use data-driven analysis to adapt hiring strategies, address market challenges, and improve hiring outcomes.
• Scalable Systems Implementation: Introduce tools and processes that enhance efficiency, such as automation for high-volume hiring and advanced ATS configurations.
• Agile Recruitment Strategies: Utilize agile methods to continuously adapt recruitment strategies, ensuring responsiveness to dynamic business needs and shifting priorities.
4. Employer Branding and Culture Alignment:
• Enhance Learning Genie’s Brand: Partner with marketing to elevate employer branding efforts on social media, job boards, and at industry events.
• Promote Inclusion and Diversity: Design hiring campaigns that reflect a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Articulate Company Mission: Ensure alignment with Learning Genie’s mission to empower educators and support growth in the EdTech space.
5. Retention and Engagement Strategies:
• Design Retention-Focused Initiatives: Develop hiring practices that align with career growth opportunities and long-term retention strategies.
• Anticipate Talent Challenges: Proactively address talent market shifts to retain critical hires during rapid expansion phases.
• Onboarding for Success: Partner with HR to implement onboarding programs tailored for growth-stage dynamics, ensuring seamless integration for new hires.
Key Qualities for Growth Stage Success:
• Strategic Vision: Ability to align recruitment efforts with the company’s goals for rapid ARR growth and operational scalability.
• Adaptability: Proven success in transitioning recruitment practices to support growth-stage businesses or fast-paced environments.
• Problem-Solving: A solutions-focused mindset with experience navigating ambiguity in hiring during periods of change.
• Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally to align hiring strategies with broader business goals.
• Data Proficiency: Skilled in using analytics to inform recruitment decisions and optimize performance.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s or HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, PHR) preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition, with a focus on scaling organizations from $5M-$20M ARR.
• Strong leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring teams to achieve hiring excellence.
• Expertise in data-driven recruitment, including experience with ATS platforms and metrics analysis.
• Proven ability to develop and execute employer branding strategies.
• Proven ability to attract and hire senior leaders and executives.
Preferred:
• Experience in EdTech or other technology-driven industries.
• Familiarity with high-growth companies and transitioning to new stages of ARR growth.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion in recruitment practices.
