Lindsey Wilson College (LWC), a United Methodist affiliated college located in south central Kentucky,invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice to begin January 2025. Located on morethan 200 partially wooded acres on a hilltop in Columbia, Kentucky, LWC is in the heart of south centralKentucky, in the foothills of Appalachia. Within an hour of Columbia, you will find multiple opportunitiesfor outdoor recreation. Lindsey Wilson is located near several major tourist attractions including LakeCumberland, Mammoth Cave National Park, and Cumberland Falls. It is also less than two hours fromthe cultural opportunities available in Louisville, KY and Nashville, TN.
The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice with successful teaching experience.However, candidates with ABD status and evidence of successful teaching will be considered. Facultypositions at LWC emphasize teaching, advising, scholarship (broadly defined), and service to the… college.Preference will be given to candidates who have the qualifications to teach Statistics in Criminal Justiceand Research Methods in Criminal Justice. Preference will also be given to candidates with workexperience in the discipline. Most classes taught will be on the Columbia, KY campus but teaching someonline courses will also be required.
