East Noble School Corporation is accepting applications for an anticipated vacancy: Assistant Superintendent/Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction

This position is under the direct supervision of the Superintendent. The Assistant Superintendent/Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction provides leadership in the development, implementation, review, and revision of curriculum and instruction, grades K-12.
This is a full-time, 12-month position with benefits – Health, Dental, Vision, and Indiana Public Employee Retirement Fund.
Education and Qualifications
• Must hold, be eligible, or willing to obtain a valid Indiana Superintendent’s license. Preferred Doctorate in Educational Leadership or Curriculum and Instruction.
• Have a minimum of four years of teaching experience.
• Demonstrate administrative experience, preferably in a public-school corporation with an emphasis on curriculum & instruction.
• Demonstrate leadership experience in planning for and facilitating purposeful professional development.
• Demonstrate leadership experience with an emphasis on instructional coaching as a model for developing leadership capacity and improving learning outcomes.
• Possess knowledge of current research in curriculum, instruction, and professional development to support the diverse learning needs of all students and instructional staff.
• Experience in elementary, middle, and high school administration, STEM, and grant writing and management.
• Demonstrate the effective use of technology integration in the educational field.
• Serve as an exemplary role model as well as comply with all policies and guidelines as outlined by the East Noble School Corporation Board of Trustees.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Communicate and support the Corporation philosophy and curriculum to the school community, staff, administration, and School Board of Trustees.
• Assume the leadership role in the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum and instructional services.
• Direct the development of curriculum framework that accurately reflects an attitude of progressive learning throughout each student’s school experience.
• Establish and maintain a useful curriculum library and list of approved instructional materials and encourage staff utilization of same.
• Serve as a resource to building principals, instructional coaches and technology coaches to ensure proper implementation of curriculum.
• Supervise the identification, development, and implementation of a testing program appropriate to the needs of students and mandates of the local and state boards of education.
• Direct the selection and adoption process for all textbook and supplemental materials used throughout the School Corporation.
• Identify, develop and direct pre-service and in-service education experience for all certified and classified instructional staff.
• Assist building principals in the recruitment, selection and assignment of certified and classified instructional staff.
• Oversee the identification, preparation of applications and direction of all federal, state, and private grants funds that are appropriate for the Corporation instructional program.
• Plan, staff, and direct the Corporation’s regular, remedial, and enrichment summer school programs.
• Oversee grant writing, reporting, and implementation of all grants in coordination with the grant coordinator.
• Frequently report to the Board on programs and implementation of curriculum and supervision of instruction.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Superintendent.
