Adjunct faculty are paid based on the credit hours taught. Rates of pay per credit hour are calculated based upon the individual adjunct faculty member’s rank.
Principal Account abilities
• Plan and organize instruction in ways which maximize student learning.
• Prepare, distribute, and submit syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with department and divisional policies.
• Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies, using available instructional technology when appropriate.
• Modify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student needs.
• Support classroom and online efforts to promote student success.
• Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress.
• Submit final grade rosters according to established deadlines.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Cannot exceed a maximum of 12 credit hours per semester.
Requirements
• A minimum of a Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is required. Or a Master’s degree with at least 18 semester credit hours of graduate coursework in business information systems is required.
• Evidence of successful prior teaching experience is preferred.
• A demonstrated commitment to improving student learning through innovative strategies shown to help students succeed at the course and program level.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to work successfully in a culturally diverse college community.
• Must possess demonstrated skills in using modern educational technology, including multimedia-based instruction.
Official transcripts for all post-secondary degrees (if applicable) and successful completion of a background check will be required prior to the date of hire.
