Responsibilities
– Conduct group calculus tutoring sessions (8-10 students).
– Follow a pre-prepared lesson plan; adjust accordingly based on the needs of your students
– Review test-taking strategies and provide practice questions
– Guide students through their questions one-on-one during weekly office hours
– Communicate effectively with students and parents to provide feedback on student performance
Skills
– Ability to solve Calculus BC level questions in a timely fashion
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Familiarity with online classroom management skills and pedagogical methods
Qualifications
– High School Degree (required)
– Can pass an interview where candidate will be required to solve and explain a set of calculus questions (required)
– Currently majoring in or has graduated in Math or a math-intensive STEM major (desirable)
– Past experience teaching or tutoring (desirable)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 per week
Schedule:
• Every weekend
• Weekends only
Experience:
• Tutoring: 1 year (Preferred)
