Position Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic eLearning Chemistry Instructor to help our customers successfully test out of traditional Chemistry courses and stay motivated on their path to earning their college degrees.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and understandable Chemistry lessons
Inspire and motivate students to achieve their goals
Collaborate with fellow instructors and team members
Track and share noteworthy observations about students’ progress
Provide one-on-one tutoring as needed
Perform other eLearning-related tasks
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field
Strong knowledge of atomic and periodic trends, nuclear chemistry, chemical reactions, thermodynamics, equilibrium, compounds, and molecules
At least three years of teaching experience in Chemistry, including one year of virtual teaching
Proficiency with Learning Management Systems, Zoom, Google Docs, Google Slides, and other eLearning tools
Ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles
Excellent skills in engaging with an online audience
Reliable internet connection, functional computer, and noise-canceling headset
Professionalism, efficiency, and dependability
Schedule
Up to 20 hours per week
Availability to teach on weekdays and weekends, during mornings, afternoons, and evenings
Additional Information
This is a full-time remote position with a flexible schedule, requiring a minimum 4-hour overlap during the 9 am – 5 pm EST workday
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required
