Criminal Justice Instructor

SUNY Niagara is seeking a full-time, 10-month, tenure-track Criminal Justice Instructor in the Arts, Humanities and, Social Sciences Division. The instructor will also be responsible for student advisement, assessment of learning objectives, and participation in divisional and college activities. In addition, the instructor will be responsible for attending meetings and participating in… committees on campus. Assignments may be during day, evening, or weekend hours. Courses to be taught may include Introduction to Criminal Justice, Criminal Law and Procedures, Introduction to Corrections, Introduction to Policing, Introduction to Principles of Security, Criminology, Juvenile Justice and Delinquency, Criminal Investigations, Research Methods, Issues in Criminal Justice, and Field Studies in Criminal Justice.
• A Master’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field (The JD will not be considered as a related field).
• Professional work experience in the field;
• 2 years prior college teaching experience;
• Excellent written communication skills as demonstrated by application materials
