What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
– Complete intake surveys with parents and childcare programs to provide support and training prior to placement
– Assist childcare programs in developing action plans to support children in the childcare setting
– Conduct classroom observations and ongoing visits to ensure necessary support and equipment are provided
– Provide technical assistance on compliance with CCA Memorandum of Understanding and developmentally appropriate practices
– Deliver training for childcare staff and parents on children with disabilities and inclusive practices

What is Required (Qualifications):
– Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Child Development, or closely related field preferred; minimum Associate Degree
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in child development in a childcare setting, including at least 1 year of direct service to children with disabilities
– Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint or comparable presentation programs
– Valid Texas driver’s license and compliance with automobile insurance carrier requirements
– Unquestioned integrity and commitment to uphold the employer’s mission and core values

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
– Experience in writing Individual Development Plans or Individual Educational Plans for young children ages 0 to 8 years
– Bilingual in Spanish or American Sign Language
– Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of individuals
– Experience in providing training to adults
– Knowledge of the special education field and terminology related to disabilities
