What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
– Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and maintain positive relationships and high expectations
– Design instruction to ensure student engagement and participation in learning objectives
– Develop and guide learning in partnership with students in alignment with standards
– Evaluate student and class performance to adjust instruction for improvement
– Implement current best practice instruction and resources to enhance student learning
– Maintain documentation and reports to comply with regulations
– Manage classroom structure and procedures to create a positive learning environment
– Model positive behaviors and promote appropriate social and interpersonal behavior
– Oversee assistant teachers, student teachers, instructional assistants, volunteers, and/or student workers
– Participate in meetings and professional growth opportunities
– Respond to emergency situations to ensure safety
What is Required (Qualifications):
– Bachelor’s degree
– Current Louisiana teacher certification
– Proficiency in computer use, email communication, and job-specific technology
