About you
We are looking for a teacher who is very high energy, compassionate, patient, has experience working with learners online, flexible, adept at differentiating teaching methods for different kinds of learners, and excited to innovate. The teacher will not have to spend time preparing curriculum outside of sessions. We can provide you with a curriculum plan or you can use your own. Typically our tutors support children as they move through learning apps we recommend.
The teacher must also have extremely fast Wifi.

The student is homeschooled, so there is some flexibility around timing.

Activities are flexible, but may include
Giving a prompt for an essay (based on types of essays that student’s age group is expected to knows.
Evaluation of writing skills and recommendations for improvement
Leading brain breaks
Sample lesson plan
5 minute check in on progress
20 minutes: Give feedback on writing from previous week.
5 minute break break break
25 minutes, critical reading introduce a type of writing, and evaluate it’s strengths and weaknesses. Give prompt for a new piece of writing.
5 minute reflection and planning.
