Job Description
Seeking a third (3rd) grade English, Language Arts Teacher / ELA for a North Carolina school near Harrisburg, North Carolina.
This ELA teacher position is a full-time W2 contract. Normal school hours apply. We are seeking a educator who has a minimum of three (3) years of experience. Must hold a full teaching license and have recent teaching experience.
Job Duties
• Facilitate learning through small groups or individualized learning.
• Encourage positive behaviors.
• Conduct age appropriate educational activities
• Responsible for teaching third graders the language arts a school setting.
• Focus on basic reading. writing, and communication skills.
• Able to teach all branches of the curriculum to third grade students.
• Prepare detail lesson plans, reports, observation notes, and student’s progress.
• Create fun, and engaging curriculums.
• Promote a healthy active lifestyle to students.
• Follow the North Carolina Standard Course of Study
• Communicate with families, parents, and school staff regarding best practices.
Educational Requirements
• Holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Arts; or, similar.
• Completed a student teaching;
• Passed the N. C. state approved Praxis or Educator Preparation Program (EPP)
• Valid North Carolina Professional Educator’s Licensure or Standard Professional 1 (SP1) licensure.
