You’ll be a key player in promoting our digital print-and-play music games to teachers and educators, making music theory engaging and accessible for students of all ages.
• It is critical that you’re a musician as this role requires you to write copy for music teachers and engage with them, so music theory knowledge and music education experience is important.

Responsibilities:
• Plan social media content for the month
• Check social media captions and graphics
• Create graphics & captions for current promos
• Swap out freebies
• Manage LinkTree
• Update blog post link in LinkTree (when there’s a new one)
• Keep an eye on social media reach, engagement, etc. and adjust content/strategy accordingly
• Analyze emails and make suggestions to improve open rate
• Blog:
• Game of the month blog post
• Second topical blog post (sometimes)
• Newsletter:
• Plans & writes new Monday blog newsletters (ConvertKit)
• Plans & writes MGC member newsletters (ConvertKit)
• Website:
• Designs new pages
• Writes web copy
• Edits menu layout
• Figures out random backend web stuff (WordPress, Stripe, WP Simple Pay, ??)
• Launch (twice a year):
• Plans launch bonuses
• Plans launch topics
• Writes launch emails
• Videos:
• Monthly teacher chat
• 1-minute social media videos (teaching tips, game features)
• Customer Support:
• Solves customer complaints, responds to emails
• Project Management:
• Plans overall project needs
• Assigns appropriate tasks to team
• Organizes tasks in Monday
• Prioritizes tasks
• Brainstorming
Requirements:
• Proven experience (2+ years) as a Marketing Specialist or in a similar role, with a successful track record in promoting educational products or services.
• Passion for music and a strong interest in the positive impact of music education on students.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey the benefits and value of our music theory games to music teachers.
• Proficiency in digital marketing tactics, including social media, email marketing, and content creation.
• Strong analytical abilities to assess marketing data and optimize campaigns for maximum impact.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented, capable of meeting deadlines and delivering on contract-specific tasks.
Bonus Skills:
• Familiarity with the music education industry and the challenges faced by music teachers.
• Experience in graphic design or working with designers to create visually appealing marketing materials.
• Understanding of SEO best practices and strategies for driving organic traffic.
Compensation:
This is a contract-based position with a set price for the specified tasks outlined in the agreement.
