we are seeking quality English Language Arts instructors for students in grades 1-12. Youll have the flexibility to work from home while making a meaningful impact on the lives of students throughout the United States as well as many countries around the world…
Our ideal candidate is enthusiastic, patient, and passionate about all aspects of English Language Arts including writing, reading, grammar, and vocabulary. You will help students adopt a systematic writing methodology that builds over time with a well-defined curriculum. We provide our instructors with comprehensive training, easy-to-follow lesson plans and the unique opportunity to grow with an innovative, global education company.
We offer flexible scheduling and will do our best to accommodate other commitments. Our hourly rates are competitive and commensurate with experience. Teaching hours will be based on student enrollment.
Responsibilities:
Instruct small groups of students in an online, virtual classroom
Maintain an engaging classroom atmosphere
Track and communicate student progress with regular in-class comments and feedback
Qualifications:
Must hold a Bachelors degree or higher, a degree in English or Education a plus
At least 1 year of teaching experience, online teaching experience is a plus
Teaching credential from at least one U.S. state required (may be expired; TESOL is a bonus, but does not meet this requirement)
Proficient in technology, especially virtual classrooms
Ability to build rapport with students and manage classroom behavior
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Sensitive to the needs of a diverse student population, including English Language Learners. (ELL, ESL or Bi-lingual education endorsements/certifications a plus)
Looking for availability for a minimum of 3 hours a week.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
