Faculty (Part Time) – English Instructor, University College

Rex and Margaret Fortune School of Education is a comprehensive education system including, non-profit preschools, a network of tuition-free, public charter schools (TK-12th), and a school of education with a masters programs and educator preparations programs accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. We prepare students for college starting in preschool Transitional… Kindergarten in San Bernardino and Sacramento Counties and are focused on closing the African American achievement gap.

Primary Faculty Responsibilities: – Teach graduate level credentialing courses online, onsite, and/or in a hybrid delivery format: Content Specific Seminar – Mathematics
Establish and maintain communities of practice, positive climate and relationships with faculty and staff.
Educate and engage faculty, candidates, and interns through formal class presentations, workshops, and trainings as necessary.
Analyze data and create reports on accreditation data and requirements and ensure compliance with local, state, regional, and federal policies.
Create, maintain, and update accurate systems to track program data ensuring compliance with state regulations.
Work with supervisor to maintain and update assessment data, per state requirements.
Collaborate with colleagues to create and maintain ongoing program review in accordance with shifting accreditation standards.
Work with supervisors to maintain Teacher Preparation Program policies and procedures in all documents, records, and websites.

An earned master’s degree from a regionally accredited university in Teacher Education or a Subject Matter Discipline (English, Math, History-Social Science, PE, World Language, etc.).
Experience teaching within the TK-12 educational system (English, Math, History-Social Science, PE, World Language, etc.).
Experience utilizing the latest research-based strategies in critical pedagogy, culturally sustaining pedagogy, and funds of community cultural wealth.
Experience teaching at the higher education level or with a credentialing program.
Ability to provide resources for addressing the needs of English Learners and Students with Special Needs.
An earned doctorate/terminal degree from a regionally accredited university in Teacher Education or a Subject Matter Discipline (English, Math, History-Social Science, PE, World Language, etc.).
Exemplary record of teaching.
Evidence of effective teaching in higher education settings, including working with adult learners.
Possess a valid teaching credential.
An established or emerging line of applied research (including presentations at state and national conferences).
A record of collaboration with school districts and community partners.
Experience designing, developing, and delivering online courses.
