Working Hours: The expected workload will be approximately 40 hours a week.
Virtual Teaching: Provide approximate caseload (up to 35 students) direct instruction weekly, between the hours of 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM Eastern Time (ET)
In-Person State Testing: Assist in administering in-person standardized testing (IREAD, ILEARN, IAM)
Additional Duties: Flexible throughout the week
Primary Responsibilities:
Student-focused Duties (Approx. 2/3 Time)-Some combination of the following:● Assessing children’s skills and learning requirements through Standardized Testing
● Be prepared to explain to parents and RegEd teachers all evaluations done with students
● Designing Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) in accordance with Federal Special Education Law.
● Collaborating with parents and school staff to track students’ progress.
● Communicate with families as needed. (ie, answer emails, texts, or call within 24 hrs)
● Develop a positive relationship with families and students.
● Meet with students as per IEP requirements virtually to work on and meet their IEP goals.
● Support families with suggestions and ideas to enhance learning as needed.
● Become familiar with Homeroom Resources.
● Assess students’ abilities and craft teaching plans if direct services are provided.
● Adapt learning materials to students’ needs
● Keep track of and reflect on students’ progress through the use of measurable data
● Communicate regularly with School Administration.
● Schedule, send invitations to all those who need to attend and participate in any necessary special ed student meetings within the timelines given.
● Attend Inservice training as needed.
● Schedule a weekly office hour available for students/parents to attend.
● Duties as assigned.
Live Virtual Instruction:
○ Conduct virtual classes for students Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM (ET).
○ Utilize online learning platforms and tools to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
○ Assess and evaluate student performance through virtual assessments, discussions, and projects.
In-Person State Testing:
○ Support the state Test team as needed with proctoring state-mandated standardized testing for students as required.
○ Ensure that testing protocols are strictly followed and that students are supported throughout the testing process.
○ Coordinate with administration for testing schedules, materials, and results reporting.
Administrative and Other Duties (Approx. 1/3 Time):
Administrative Tasks:
○ Assist with school administration tasks such as record-keeping, reporting, and student evaluations.
○ Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
○ Collaborate with other teachers and staff to improve educational strategies and practices.
Qualifications:
Current Braintree Teacher (preferred)
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Certification: Valid Indiana special education teacher license
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in both virtual and in-person settings.

○ Strong organizational skills for managing multiple responsibilities and administrative tasks.

Compensation:● Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience. ($43,000)
