**Overview:** We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Instructional Assistant/Special Education to support our special education students in meeting their academic and functional goals and objectives. **Responsibilities:**
• Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning and implement individualized programs
• Assist and guide students to reinforce daily… tasks
• Assist in classroom preparations and strategies for reinforcing instructional materials and skills according to individual student needs
• Assist with classroom behavioral management to minimize disruptions, ensuring a safe and orderly classroom, and ensuring students are on task
• Assist students in non-instructional areas, such as supervising the student lunch period and other related non-instructional areas
• Accompanies students on field trips and community outings for the purpose of assisting with supervision
• Assist students with special needs in all aspects of classroom instruction to maximize inclusion, learning, achievement if IEP objectives

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience working with special education students preferred
