Math Tutor (Middle and High School Level)

Adjacent Tutors is looking to expand our team of passionate educators. We approach teaching holistically, providing quality online tutoring across the US in subjects like common core English Language Arts, Math, Science and the Arts. We also focus on specialized subject tutoring, college preparatory curriculum and/or Verbal, AP exams, high school admissions exams and the college… process. Ideally, a candidate will have the following:
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college / university in the US or Canada
• Strong academic background: 2+ years’ experience teaching K-12 as a teacher or tutor
• Available to tutor/teach at least 5 hours per week
• Exemplified passion for education – Patient, kind, organized, reliable, punctual and problem-solver

Responsibilities:
• Tutors are responsible for leading/facilitating one on one or small group lessons that accommodate the needs and goals of our students. In addition, tutors will:
• Work with students ensure familiarity, confidence, and preparedness in their academic journey.
• Support students reach academic goals by using meaningful individualized strategies to help students retain information.
• Provide positive and constructive feedback regularly to ensure growth and accountability.

Sciences: Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Earth Science, English/Writing, Environmental Sciences

History: World History, European History, US History, Geography, Human Geography, Economics, US GovernmenT

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 10 per week
