What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
– Facilitate student achievement by instructing virtual class/period(s)
– Plan a program of study tailored to individual student needs
– Assess student accomplishments and provide progress reports
– Maintain accurate records of student progress and communication with parents
– Implement district’s philosophy of education and instructional goals
What is Required (Qualifications):
– Bachelor’s degree and valid Missouri Teaching Certification in a 6 through 12th-grade content area
– Must be a retired teacher
– Proficient in preparing rigorous lesson plans for virtual learning
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Ability to work independently and with colleagues, parents, and administrators
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
– 0-2 years of experience as a teacher in a virtual learning environment
