Plan, organize, and teach band, general music, and chorus at the middle school and elementary school sites
Beginning and advanced classes in instrumental music will be offered to students, utilizing standard band and orchestra instruments
Develops performing choir, instrumental ensembles, band, orchestra or small ensembles using students from the middle school level and elementary schools
Establishes training ensembles for students with less experience in performance ensembles
Requirements / Qualifications
Possesses an earned Baccalaureate or higher degree from an accredited college or university with a major in the field of music
Possesses a valid California Elementary credential and/or a Special Secondary credential in Music or another valid credential with a major in instrumental music
Possesses a valid California Driver License and a reliable personal automobile
Must be able to demonstrate, play, tune and perform minor repairs on all standard band and orchestral instruments
