NCCU BBA-Adjunct Faculty (Management) – Remote

On behalf of The School of Business at North Carolina Central University (NCCU), PKH is recruiting for a highly qualified applicant for the adjunct faculty pool in the Business Administration Department (BA). A selected candidate will exhibit a desire to teach at the undergraduate level in an asynchronous environment. This position is fully online/remote.

NCCU Primary Purpose of the… Organization

The School’s AACSB accredited programs serve undergraduate and graduate students. The BA Department offers 6 core courses for undergraduate business majors and four primary concentrations – Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, Management, and Marketing. These Business Core courses include the following:

MGT 1100 – Business Orientation

MGT 3000 – Organization & Management

MGT 3010 – Career Readiness

MGT 3400 – Business Communication

MGT 4740 – Strategic Management

MKT 3210 – Principles of Marketing

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Candidates must demonstrate currency in the discipline, effective oral and communication skills, experience using instructional technology, and sound technology knowledge.
• Successful candidates must have the ability to work collaboratively with multiple and diverse stakeholders.

Specific tasks
• Candidates must be able to teach one or more of the courses in the Business Core.
• Additionally, the following courses in the Management Discipline: Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, Entrepreneurship and Venture Management, and International Business are desirable.
• Candidates will also be required to hold student office hours, virtually, commensurate with teaching responsibilities.

Minimum Education
• Consideration will be given to candidates who meet criteria consistent with the school’s accreditation standards, A.A.C.S.B. education background.
• Candidates holding a master’s degree in the discipline must also have significant, relevant professional experience.
• Professional discipline certification is desirable.
• Candidates holding doctorate degrees in the discipline must have relevant scholarly publications or have recently earned the doctorate degree from an AACSB accredited institution.
