Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled Special Education Teacher to deliver remote instruction and support to K-12 students with diverse learning needs. This hourly, contracted position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to make a meaningful impact on students’ educational journeys from the comfort of your home.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ unique needs.
• Provide engaging and effective remote instruction that meets each student’s learning requirements.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing detailed updates to students, families, and educational teams.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to enhance student learning and development.
• Leverage a variety of online tools and resources to enrich the educational experience.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant educational standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Special Education.
• Valid Nevada Special Education Teaching Certification.
• At least 2 years of experience in special education (preferred).
• Deep understanding of various disabilities and learning challenges.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students and families.
• Proficiency with remote teaching technologies and online educational platforms.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
