Position Details:
Location: Fully Remote
Duration: 2024-2025 School Year
Contract Type: 1099
Pay Range: $36-$41 per hour
Focus: Supporting students with a variety of disabilities
Caseload Details: To be provided during the interview process
Key Responsibilities:
IEP Development: Create and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, school staff, and other professionals.
Assessment and Adjustment: Use assessment tools to monitor student progress and modify teaching strategies as needed.
Engaging Virtual Classroom: Develop an inclusive virtual classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
Team Collaboration: Work with general education teachers and specialists to ensure effective integration and accommodations.
Diverse Instructional Methods: Apply various teaching techniques to address different learning styles and needs.
Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive records of student progress, behavior, and achievements.
Parental Communication: Regularly update and engage with parents and guardians regarding their childs education.
Professional Development: Attend school meetings, training sessions, and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Teaching or Special Education
Certification: Valid Special Education Teaching License in Ohio
Experience: Prior experience working with special needs students preferred
Ongoing Learning: Commitment to staying current with special education practices
Virtual Teaching Experience: Experience in a virtual teaching setting is advantageous
