Responsibilities
– Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in accordance with the curriculum
– Provide instruction in various subjects to high school students
– Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation
– Assess student progress and provide feedback on their academic performance
– Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience
– Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school meetings
Skills
– Proficiency in proofreading and copy editing educational materials
– Experience or knowledge in journalism or writing
– Ability to develop and adapt curriculum to meet the needs of diverse learners
– Strong tutoring skills to support students in need of extra help
– Familiarity with special education practices and resources
– Excellent classroom management skills to create a conducive learning environment
– Passion for educating high school students using innovative teaching methods
– Knowledge of Montessori principles is a plus
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $20.88 – $22.94 per hour
