#### Role Overview
You will facilitate interactive math sessions using a story-based format, designed to align with Common Core standards. Each session lasts one hour and is conducted with small groups of students through a virtual platform.
#### Key Responsibilities
• Lead engaging, story-driven math lessons for small groups of students.
• Clearly and effectively convey new math concepts while guiding students through interactive adventures.
• Foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages students to learn from their mistakes and enhance their problem-solving skills.
• Maintain regular communication with parents to provide updates on student progress and suggest areas for improvement.
#### Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree (Teaching credential preferred).
• Prior experience teaching math to elementary or middle school students.
• Familiarity with existing curriculum and lesson plans.
• Proficient in technology, with the ability to resolve technical issues as they arise.
• Availability for at least 12 hours per week, including evenings, holidays, and Sundays.
• Access to a reliable internet connection, a quiet workspace, and a functional computer.
• A genuine enthusiasm for engaging with elementary school students in a remote learning setting.
• Ability to start immediately and successfully complete a background check.
