Job Description:
We are currently seeking experienced and passionate SAT English tutors to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English language and literature, particularly in the areas tested on the SAT English section, and a commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals. As an SAT English tutor at eTutorsZone, you will work remotely with students to… improve their reading comprehension, writing skills, and grammar usage in preparation for the SAT exam.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct one-on-one online tutoring sessions with students preparing for the SAT English section.
• Assess students’ strengths and weaknesses in reading comprehension, writing, and grammar, and develop customized lesson plans to address their needs.
• Review SAT English topics, including textual analysis, rhetorical analysis, grammar rules, and essay writing strategies.
• Provide feedback and guidance on students’ practice essays and assignments to help them improve their writing skills.
• Utilize a variety of teaching resources, including SAT prep materials, practice tests, and online tools, to enhance students’ learning experience.
• Motivate and encourage students to reach their full potential and succeed on the SAT exam.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Literature, Education, or a related field.
• Previous tutoring or teaching experience, preferably in SAT English preparation.
• Strong English language and literature understanding, including grammar, vocabulary, and reading comprehension.
• Familiarity with the SAT exam format and content, particularly the English section.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to tailor instruction to meet the individual learning needs of students.
• Reliable internet connection and access to a computer or tablet for online tutoring sessions.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
