Position Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Remote Special Education Teacher to join our team on a 1099 contract basis. In this role, you will work closely with students in Maryland, providing individualized instruction and support tailored to their unique learning needs.
Responsibilities:
Assess student abilities and needs through evaluations and observations.
Design and implement effective IEPs that align with each students goals.
Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction using virtual tools and resources.
Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
Maintain regular communication with parents, guardians, and support staff.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive support.
Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
Current Maryland teaching certification in Special Education.
Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
Proficiency in virtual teaching platforms and technology.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing situations.
