DePaul University invites expressions of interest for a pool of qualified Part Time Faculty to teach courses in a variety of disciplines across all 10 colleges and schools. Postings are organized by college/school and department. Individuals will be contacted by the department if they reach the finalist stage for teaching a particular course or set of courses. The School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) at DePaul University is accepting applications from those interested in part-time opportunities to develop and teach courses in one or more of the following subjects in an online asynchronous format.
SCPS serves adult, non-traditional students, and underserved populations, and provides flexible learning formats and scheduling to meet student needs. The school offers a variety of majors including Business Administration, Non-profit Management, and Leadership Studies. Students develop lifelong learning, writing, critical thinking, research and career development assessment and planning skills throughout their multi-disciplinary curriculum.
D. or terminal degree in a related field and relevant experience is required. Experience teaching at the college level is desirable, but not required.
Part-time teaching opportunities are available including online, hybrid, and on-campus throughout the academic year. Applicants with expertise that matches course scheduling needs, demonstrated successful teaching experience, and appropriate, verified qualifications will be contacted for an interview. Academic course schedules fluctuate from quarter to quarter and the school will work with selected individuals to determine a quarterly schedule. however, the school does its best to give ample notice about available courses and potential course cancellations. Online courses are taught using the Desire2Learn (D2L) learning management system.
