Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Part-Time Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) to provide specialized educational services to students across Ohio. This remote role is ideal for an educator who excels in creating individualized learning experiences for students with hearing impairments and is committed to fostering their academic and social development.
Key Responsibilities
• Customized Instruction: Develop and implement personalized educational programs tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, focusing on communication, language development, and academic skills.
• IEP Management: Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with parents, therapists, and other educators to establish and evaluate educational goals for students with hearing impairments.
• Progress Monitoring: Use digital tools to assess student progress, adjust instructional strategies as necessary, and maintain comprehensive documentation of student achievements.
• Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and related service providers to ensure a cohesive educational experience that addresses all aspects of student development.
• Family Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and offering strategies to support learning at home.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or a related field.
• Certification: Valid Ohio teaching license with a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing endorsement.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, preferably in a remote or virtual setting.
• Skills: Proficient in using educational technology, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the needs of students with hearing impairments.

Work Environment
