What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
– Assist with teaching laboratory sections and guide students during lab activities
– Set up and take down teaching labs
– Plant seeds, maintain plants, and pack pots with potting mix for classes
– Wash pots and flats used in class
What is Required (Qualifications):
– Availability for up to 8 hours per week during the fall semester
– Successful completion of background check(s)
– Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and sustainability initiatives
– Strong communication and organizational skills
– Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
– Previous experience in teaching or lab assistance roles
– Knowledge of sustainability practices in a lab setting
