We offer ideal remote full-time or part-time teaching positions for educators who are dedicated to honing students’ skills and fostering academic excellence. This role involves creating and delivering honors-level ELA curriculum for 5th to 10th graders using state-of-the-art educational technologies. Part-time positions entail a fixed 4-hour schedule with potential for additional hours in our year-round school.

About The Role

Classes are conducted remotely with equipment provided by the school. You will establish effective rapport with students to motivate them in developing skills, attitudes, creativity, and knowledge essential for a solid high school education.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Education required; Master’s or PhD preferred.

Valid US state teaching license for junior high or high school education; ELA endorsement is advantageous.

Minimum 5+ years of honors-level teaching experience in language arts at the junior high or high school level (excluding teacher aide or ESL roles).

Proficiency in advanced writing, grammar skills, and ability to effectively teach these critical skills.

Tech-savvy with comfort in learning new software; familiarity with digital platforms is beneficial.

Knowledge of Latin is a plus, though not required.

Reliable internet connection and a professional home setup for conducting remote classes.

Responsibilities

Teach honors-level courses in junior high and high school language arts, emphasizing reading, grammar, spelling, and writing.

Develop lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to non-political core subject classes, utilizing a digital platform provided by the school.

Employ diverse instructional strategies such as inquiry, lectures, and discovery methods to engage students effectively.

Translate lesson plans into engaging learning experiences that optimize available instructional time.

Evaluate students’ academic progress and social growth, maintaining accurate records and preparing progress reports.

Administer standardized tests in accordance with state testing programs.

Collaborate with administrators to develop evaluation methods aligned with school guidelines.
