Remote AMC Math Teacher

Responsibilities:
• Teach small group AMC Math lessons to groups of between 1-7 students.
• Help students achieve high results in AMC
• Help students with their questions
Qualifications:
• In-depth knowledge content knowledge and understanding of the American Mathematics Competition
• must be familiar with the competition (through personal experience or instruction)
• must be comfortable with all levels, AMC 8 10 and 12
• At least 1-year experience teaching AMC curriculum
• Competent presentation, and communication skills
• Confident and energetic character welcome
• Please, do not apply if you intend to only teach for a few weeks. The ideal candidate will need to work consistently with us.
• We expect kind, respectful, reliable, and high-quality candidates.
• Essential to pass a background check.
• Must read and answer texts and emails right away.
• The ideal candidate will understand the concept of time zone differences and work with it daily and comfortably.
• US work authorization only.
• TESOL, Language teaching, state/national board certification, or teaching license highly preferred.
• All questions in the pre-screening will need to be answered to be considered.
• Schedule: Monday – Friday after 6 PM EST, Weekends most times

• Teaching experience (including homeschooling, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, and other experiences) is preferred.
What do we provide to you?

• Pay range is $17 per hour
• The teacher will be a 1099 employee.

Required equipment:
• Computer or laptop. Classes cannot be done via phone, tablet, IPad, or Chromebook.
• Webcam
• Microphone or headset (preferably hardwired to prevent any sound delay)
