Key Responsibilities
• IEP Creation and Implementation: Design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of each student, ensuring their academic and social development.
• Virtual Instruction: Deliver engaging and effective instruction using digital tools, adapting teaching strategies to support students with a wide range of learning disabilities.
• Progress Monitoring: Continuously assess and track student progress, making adjustments to instructional approaches as necessary to meet each student’s educational goals.
• Collaboration: Work closely with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Parent Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and offering strategies to support learning at home.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Certification: Valid Indiana teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
• Experience: Minimum of three years in a special education role, with experience in virtual teaching preferred.
• Skills: Proficient in using educational technology, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a deep understanding of special education best practices.
