We are looking for a committed and driven Special Education Teacher to join our dynamic virtual education team. Key Responsibilities
Deliver customized, one-on-one online instruction to K-12 students with varying disabilities, ensuring each student receives the necessary support for their academic growth.
Design, implement, and manage Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and appropriate learning accommodations in a digital format.
Collaborate frequently with families, general educators, and support staff through virtual meetings to establish a holistic support network for each student.
Utilize online assessment tools to assess and monitor student progress, providing consistent and constructive feedback to parents and colleagues.
Actively engage in virtual IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other collaborative digital opportunities.
Required Skills
Proficiency in virtual learning platforms and assistive technology tools.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, in a digital teaching context.
Strong understanding of diverse learning needs and the necessary accommodations for students with disabilities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education (Master’s degree is preferred).
Valid Tennessee teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
Previous experience teaching students with disabilities in a K-12 setting, along with a solid understanding of their unique learning requirements.
