We are seeking a dedicated Teacher for the Visually Impaired to provide essential educational support to students with visual impairments in a remote, virtual learning environment. Key Responsibilities
• Evaluate students’ visual requirements and develop personalized Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that cater to their specific learning objectives.
• Create and deliver innovative teaching strategies and engaging educational materials.
• Provide instruction in Braille, orientation and mobility skills, as well as assistive technologies.
• Collaborate effectively with classroom teachers and other specialists to foster inclusive educational practices.
• Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to track and celebrate students’ progress and achievements.
• Advocate for students’ educational rights while raising awareness of the challenges faced by individuals with visual impairments.

Required Skills
• Proficiency in Braille and familiarity with assistive technologies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• A profound sense of empathy, patience, and a commitment to supporting students with visual impairments.

Qualifications
• A Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Certification in Visual Impairment Education (TVI certification).
• Experience in developing IEPs and individualized teaching plans is preferred but not mandatory.
