Required Experience
Timing: 8am to 4:30 or 8:30 to 5 – Alaska Time Zone – shift will be based on need.
Training is 2 to 2 ½ weeks (depending on how quickly the information is picked up). Training will be from 8am to 5pm Alaska Time Zone.
Full Attendance in training is required.
Minimum internet service with download speeds of 50mbps and upload speeds of 5mbps. Recommended 80mbps or greater if there are multiple users on your home network. 50mbps is the minimum bandwidth necessary to work from home.
Job Description
• These positions will support operational areas including a focus on the Call Center, Provider Enrollment, Service Authorization, etc.
• These individuals will work closely with the department leaders and the Quality team to evaluate, update, and deploy training, as well as ensure that materials are up to date.
• This team will also work with the Field Service staff related to provider and member training needs.
Essential Job Functions
• Conducts training courses, both on-site and on-line, for professional development and non-technical skills training to include lectures, web-based programs and hands-on sessions.
• Works with applicable business unit/area to establish specifications of course, prerequisite skills and knowledge for trainees. Ensures that training courses address all levels of employee.
• Prepares lesson plans including developing and preparing training materials such as manuals, handouts, instructor guides and audio-visuals.
• Assists in conducting needs assessments to ensure training needs are met.
• Gathers, reviews and analyzes course evaluations to determine effectiveness of training sessions. Prepares recommendations and reports to senior level personnel and/or management.
• Reviews, as requested, external training programs to determine feasibility of purchase. Makes recommendations to management as appropriate.
Basic Qualifications
• Three or more years of training experience, using multiple medias for presentations, and experience presenting to large and small groups.
• Experience working with instructional design and adult learning and training methodologies.
• Ability to work with work function teams and Quality Control staff to develop training manuals and procedures, and test (when necessary) related to system and process changes.
• Interpersonal skills for interacting with all levels of employees. Analytical skills, organization and time management skills, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Ability to understand and apply federal, state and local changes to and/or new regulations/laws pertaining to human resources.
