Key Responsibilities
Deliver captivating virtual instruction that caters to the individual requirements of students facing low incidence disabilities and life skills challenges.
Craft and execute personalized education plans (IEPs) to fulfill the specific goals and aspirations of each student.
Provide targeted support in essential life skills, including communication, socialization, and self-care.
Collaborate effectively with parents, support staff, and administrators to monitor and assess student progress.
Conduct virtual assessments to gauge student growth and identify areas for further support.
Participate in IEP meetings and play an active role in the continual development and refinement of educational plans.
Create a nurturing and inclusive virtual classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and personal growth.
Required Skills
Strong capabilities in virtual teaching and proficient communication skills.
Empathy and patience, coupled with a genuine commitment to student success.
Proficient in developing personalized education plans (IEPs).
Ability to support students in acquiring essential life skills, such as communication and self-care.
Skilled in collaborating with parents and support personnel.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Special Education.
Active Special Education teaching licensure in Minnesota.
Proven experience with students who have low incidence disabilities and life skills challenges.
