Job Summary:
The SAT Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality instruction and support to students preparing for the SAT exam. The teacher will create lesson plans, administer practice tests, and provide individual and group tutoring to improve students’ test-taking strategies, subject knowledge, and confidence. The goal is to help students achieve their best possible scores on the SAT, which is a crucial component of college admissions.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that cover all sections of the SAT: Math, Evidence-Based Reading, and Writing.
• Create and update curriculum materials, including practice questions, quizzes, and mock exams.
• Deliver engaging and effective instruction in both individual and group settings.
• Utilize various teaching methods and strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
• Explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Administer and evaluate diagnostic and practice tests to assess… students’ progress.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and develop personalized study plans based on their strengths and weaknesses.
• Offer one-on-one tutoring sessions as needed to address individual student needs.
• Motivate and mentor students to build their confidence and improve their test-taking skills.
• Address any academic or test-related concerns students may have.
• Stay current with SAT test changes, strategies, and best practices.
• Participate in professional development workshops and training sessions.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers, counselors, and administrative staff to support student success.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the SAT preparation program.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, English, or a related field.
• Teaching certification or relevant credentials preferred.
• Previous experience teaching or tutoring SAT subjects.
• Proven track record of helping students achieve high scores on the SAT.
• Strong knowledge of SAT content and test-taking strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and engage students.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 2-8 per week
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
