Special Education Teacher Responsibilities:
• Develop and Implement IEPs: Design individualized education plans for students with special needs, setting clear goals and strategies to meet each students unique learning needs. Regularly monitor and adjust these plans to ensure ongoing progress.
• Provide Specialized Instruction: Deliver tailored instruction across various subjects, adapting teaching methods and materials to suit the diverse abilities and learning styles of students. Use innovative techniques to support both academic achievement and social development.
• Collaborate with the Education Team: Work closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure a unified approach to each students education. Participate in meetings and maintain regular communication to discuss student progress and needs.
• Support Behavioral and Emotional Growth: Implement behavioral management strategies to address challenging behaviors and create a positive learning environment. Guide students in developing social skills and emotional resilience.
Job Qualifications:
• Masters degree in Special Education.
• Active Oklahoma Special Education license and teaching certificate.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a school setting.
• Experience with virtual teaching preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable computer and high-speed internet (No Chromebooks/tablets allowed).
Pay & Benefits:
• 1099 Contract Position

Interview Process:
• Initial Screening: A 10-15 minute call with a VocoVision Recruiter.
