Many opportunities for qualified adjunct instructors are available unct (part-time) instructors are hired on an as-needed, term-by-term (or per course) basis. Instructional supervisors review the materials submitted by prospective adjunct instructors and contact them directly as needed, based on their educational preparation, experience levels, and availability. By applying for this position, you will be joining the part-time instructional pool for consideration as a prospective adjunct instructor.
The Social and Behavioral Sciences department at SFSC provides instruction for college-transfer credit in the following areas:
Anthropology, Economics, Education, Geography, Government, History, Human Development, Political Science, Psychology, Social Sciences, Sociology, Speech/Communication, Student Development, and Western Civilization.
Requirements:
The minimum of a Master’s degree in the teaching discipline from a regionally accredited institution (or 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline and a Master’s degree). Postsecondary teaching experience preferred; distance learning experience helpful.
