Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation and Delivery:
• Develop and deliver engaging and effective social studies lessons that align with the curriculum standards.
• Create lesson plans, worksheets, and other instructional materials to support student learning.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods and strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
Student Engagement and Assessment:
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
• Assess student performance through quizzes, tests, projects, and other evaluation methods.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth.
Curriculum Development:
• Collaborate with the Academic Affairs Manager and other teachers to develop and enhance the social studies curriculum.
• Stay updated with the latest educational trends and integrate new strategies and resources into the curriculum.
• Ensure all content is culturally relevant, age-appropriate, and meets educational objectives.
Classroom Management:
• Establish and maintain clear classroom rules and procedures.
• Manage student behavior effectively to create a safe and productive learning environment.
• Address any disciplinary issues in accordance with school policies.
Professional Development:
• Participate in professional development programs and training sessions to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve instructional methods.
• Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Communication and Collaboration:
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and any concerns.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and coordinate school activities and events.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and other school meetings as required.
Additional Duties:
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Academic Affairs Manager to support the overall mission and goals of Sahlah.
• Contribute to the school community by participating in extracurricular activities and events.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $250.00 – $500.00 per month
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
Experience:
• online teaching: 3 years (Preferred)
