Position: Sociology/Criminal Justice Instructor
Reports to: Division Chair, Communications, and Behavioral Sciences

Position Summary:
Instruct sociology and criminal justice classes offered both day and evening. Modes of delivery include traditional face-to-face, interactive television (ITV), blended, and online. Courses are taught on the WTC campus, in area high schools, and in the TDCJ Correctional facilities. The primary instructional purpose of the department is to teach sociology and criminal justice and provide academic coaching and career exploration.
Required Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree and 18 graduate hours in Sociology and Criminal Justice; or
• Master’s Degree and 18 graduate hours in Sociology with the ability to earn 18 graduate hours in Criminal Justice in 2 years; or
• Master’s Degree and 18 graduate hours in Criminal Justice with the ability to earn 18 graduate hours in Sociology in 2 years.
