We have an immediate job opening for an Exceptional Children’s (EC) Teacher who is certified to teach special education in a North Carolina school setting. This Special Education Teacher job is full-time and in a resource classroom with some self-contained students. General curriculum…
Must have good communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work with school staff, parents, families and administrators. Team oriented environment.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education from an accredited college or university.
Must hold an active Professional Educator’s certification through NCDPI.
Certified to teach high school students (Grades 9-12)
Recent teaching experience in a NC classroom and/or schools is preferred.
Familiar with NC IEP Comprehensive Exceptional Children Accountability System ( Cecas ).
Details:
40-hours/ per week
Normal school hours
August start – May 2025 (10-months)
Certified to teach Special Education: General curriculum
Caseload is K-12 setting
Self-contained and resource job opportunities available!
Co-teaching classroom settings available!
Caseload under 30 students
Responsible for IEPs, meetings, progress notes, and work as a team.
