Special Education Teacher – Remote | WFH

We are looking for a dedicated Special Education Teacher (K-12) to join our team! This role involves planning, organizing, and implementing instructional programs that inspire and encourage students to reach their academic potential. Key… Responsibilities

Personalized Educational Plans: Develop and implement tailored educational plans and instructional programs to meet the unique needs of each student.

Assessment and Recommendations: Conduct regular and follow-up assessments of students’ progress, providing insightful recommendations on curriculum areas to focus on and necessary accommodations.

Parental Collaboration: Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with parents and caregivers, keeping them informed about their child’s progress.

IEP Participation: Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to ensure each student receives the support they need.

Required Skills And Qualifications

Educational Background: A Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field is required.

Certification: Appropriate state licensure or certification in special education is essential.

Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a school setting, with specific experience in early childhood education.

Technical Requirements

Updated computer with high-speed internet (a tech screening will be administered).

Familiarity with the IEP process.

Position Details

Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week.

Contract Term: For the 2024/2025 school year.

Work Environment: This is a fully remote position.
