Requirements…
• A Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Valid Kansas teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting.
• Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations, ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Successful completion of a background check and fingerprinting as required by the state of Kansas.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Adapt and modify instructional materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure a comprehensive educational experience for each student.
• Monitor and assess student progress and make necessary adjustments to instruction.
• Provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development activities.
